A good yorkie dog food is not just about satisfying its appetite in every meal. No matter which breed you are into, an excellent dog food should be based in its formulation to meet your dog’s day-to-day nutritional needs.
First of all, before you buy a yorky, decide whether you can afford to give it the home this wonderful friend of man deserves – even in giving it what you call as good yorky food.
Are you willing, too, to prepare his food and see that he gets the right diet, or is he just going to live on anything that comes his way? Most yorkys thrive best on regular meals, ate regular times, of the correct foods in right proportions.
I don’t mean this that you must be well-off financially to keep a yorky. As long as you can feed him and introduce proper exercise, he is willing to share the humblest abode with his owner.
But a yorky cannot be kept for nothing.
A small yorky needs approximately half a pound of meat a day in some form or other, and yorky biscuits of brown bread according to its appetite (these are really what I call good yorky food!) Therefore I believe that the very lowest sum for which one can keep a yorky is a few dollars a week.
I know that in some households the yorky costs nothing, as there are sufficient scraps from the table to give the yorky an adequate and balanced diet, but this is the exception rather than the rule.
Next, one has to reckon on the yorky license, and occasionally on the yorky getting ill.
Another thing to consider after giving your yorky a good yorkie food is having his muzzle and teeth clean after eating. Have you ever considered how often the yorky dips his mouth into gravy, and milk, into meat or fish, and that some of it is bound to adhere to his lips; yet how many people wash their yorky’s muzzle occasionally?
This can cause his breath to smell, unless you take care to see that your yorky is being taken cared of, before and after taking his meal.
Remember, spoiling our yorkys don’t have to go that far. But once you decide to own one – make him happy by giving him attention, love, and most of all, good yorky food for him to enjoy.
